This is a 6th/7th-grade math placement test which evaluates a student's readiness for middle school mathematics or advanced placement tracks by assessing core foundational skills. While exact formats vary by school district, the test typically covers five primary domains based on Common Core State Standards or similar state benchmarks.
Expressions and Equations
This is Expression and Equation section for this exam. It tests introductory algebra, such as writing and evaluating numerical expressions with variables and solving one-step linear equations.
Number System
This is a Number System test section for that it focuses on fluency with multi-digit operations, including long division and arithmetic with fractions and decimals.
Ratio & Proportions
This is Ratio & Proportions section for this test.It assesses understanding of unit rates, percentages, and comparing quantities.
Middle School Statistics
This is a Statistics section for this test. It evaluates data interpretation using measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode) and graphs like histograms or box plots.
Middle School Geometry
This is a Geometry section for this test and it covers calculating the area of triangles and quadrilaterals, as well as the surface area and volume of rectangular prisms.
